#83 Potential Best Friend Alert!

Christina (my kindestestest employer) gave me a ride to her place, and the journey took about an hour so we talked about lots of things, yay us! I love talking to her because she's so friendly and talkative (not in a bad way though). She knows I love reading so our conversation today was pretty much based on that. I found out these ;

I like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and her son likes it too!
We both don't like and can't stand the Harry Potter series!
We both love Twilight the book but loathe the movies!
We both find Twilight the movie(s) bo-yawn-ring and slow!

I was grinning the whole time, thinking 'OMG WE HAVE THE SAME PREFERENCES WHEN IT COMES TO BOOKS. JUST BE MY BEST FRIEND ALREADY!'

Sometimes it's the little things that make you happy. Very, very little.

#65 All of my change I spent on ~you~

So.... Finished reading The Hunger Games yesterday, and it was indeed a good and enjoyable read. Now who has the movie, please, please, please, I need to watch it :( I wanna watch Peeta falling for Katniss, Katniss trying hard to survive in the game, Gale bidding goodbye to Katniss before she went to the Capitol, Prim bailing her eyes out when Katniss volunteered herself for the game, and most importantly how adorable Peeta is mwehehe #teampeeta :3 So please? Anyone? Ngaaa kinda regret not watching it when it came out in the cinemas pffft

Anyways, just got my first pay (in my bank account, not cash), o em gee what is air. :'D

#34 And I'm a coward, yeah

Uh hello. First entry on 2012? Yay! Nothing's new this year. Evereything's perfectly simple. I'm at home, healthy, happy, doing things I love, so yeah, I'm happy like that, I guess.

But what's saddening is when I realize that I won't be 'this' happy for so long, as I'll be leaving for Auckland in about 2 weeks or so. :( It's not like I hate it there, no. In fact I've missed Auckland every now and then; the moody weather, the wind, the sometimes friendly and ignorant people, the endless walking but no sweat, the 'family'. See, I kinda miss Auckland. But.. You must've understood what I meant, right? If no, never mind. I'll keep this sad feeling to myself, thanks. Happy thoughts, people, happy thoughts! Be positive! To hell with sadness!!!! <- redundant

Anyways! On a brighter note, finished reading I Remember You yesterday. Will probably write a short review on that book later, but all I can say is, it's not my cup of tea actually. Poor thing. And right now, I'm currently reading The Truth About You by Melissa Hill. Seems nice, so far :)

Oh by the way, I've set myself a challenge to read 50 books this year on goodreads.com. Yay! Hopefully I'll manage to achieve that or better yet, surpass that goal, wohoo! But err, first, hopefully I'll be able to maintain this habit of mine. Once I got lazy to read, God there'll be no escape, I'll stop reading for months, or worse yet, years. Nooooo! My goal!

Kbye takde motif. xx

#32 A sky full of friendsters

So. I'm perfectly healthy right now. Yay me! And I'm currently reading A Thousand Splendid Suns. You know I've been struggling to read the first 50 pages, I think, for some apparent reason. That was the reason why I put this book aside in the first place, not to mention my health condition blablabla. Then I read one of the praises at the back of the book - 'Only the hardest of hearts could fail to be moved', and I started thinking maybe I'm one of them. But then, as usual, as I had to, I tried to continue reading. I had to, you know, finish what I started. So yeah blup blup blup blup (motif?). The part that actually got my interest? Oh, when Mariam went out of the kolba, and when she came back - discomfited with what she just found at Jalil's house - her mom, Nana hunged herself to death. Haa time tu baru aku macam The heckkkk! Kesian Mariam. Dahla Jalil's a prick! Ok emo. And after that, terus boleh concentrate wehehe. Tapi ada historical events la dalam ni. Ni yg den lomah ni -__-

Ok books aside. Hmmmm I feel like buying another bunch of novels la! Right now I already have my eyes on certain titles, weee. Okay I think I just said books aside, what the hell? Loser.

P/s ; 2012 is just around the corner, waving not-so-enthusiastically at me. Nah, I think I'll pass. :P

#26 Of the boring Syue, as you may say.

Arrived home today to meet a parcel waiting for me, yay! Another three (new) books to be read. Oh the joy. On a side note.. Nothing, never mind. I'll write a review if I feel like it. Toodles.
