I started working today! Finally! OMG OMG kerja apa? Alah cikgu tuisyen je pun. Two classes per week. And...

The highlight, for me, was... When I asked them if they know "Lorde". Unsurprisingly, they didn't know her, but to my surprise, some of them were busy checking their dictionary, trying to find the meaning of "Lorde". As if. I MANAGED NOT TO LAUGH ALTHOUGH HANDS DOWN TWAS VERY HARD TO DO. I mean come on, aku dah siap prepare 1 article about Lorde, with worksheet bagai kot buahaha high expectation sgt kau ni syue. So I kept calm and explained that "Lorde" is actually a person, so I'm pretty sure even if they spent an eternity reading the dictionary, there ain't no "Lorde" in it. Krik krik sangat dik.

That's it. Gee I really need to learn how to write a proper conclusion.

#141 Talk it up like yeah

I feel sorry for (and disgusted with....) myself for not being able to write anything here, despite the many many memorable and presumably important events that were happening in my life. So I've made a pledge to myself to WRITE SOMETHING here as to commemorate this very special and meaningful day in my life; my last day as an undergraduate student.

Let's see how it goes. Although I'm pretty sure there's no real progress on that huahahaha bye. Well at least I'm back, here. Weehee.

#139 Love is why we do it, love is worth the pain

So we were supposed to have a small farewell party or gathering before this best friend of mine leaves us for good. But surprise surprise, reaching a consensus as to deciding the wheres and whens, was almost impossible (for obvious reasons). Therefore some of us, the closest ones to this mom-to-be, decided to throw a simple farewell party for her, finally able to get some of 'those people' out of the picture. And yayy she loved the place, the food, the company she kept (well 90% of them tbh). Although she had to feign surprise when she arrived sebab kantoi last minute kot damn it haha but all went well, still.

So.. It was my pleasure, knowing and befriending you. And you know the drill, I'm sorry, thank you for everything, we'll miss you yada yada. Haha. Most importantly, take care of yourself AND your baby tau! :)

Hahaha I think that pretty much sums up my life 'there'? Although it's been like what, only four days? Tapi seriau wey, dia punya sakit rumah tu lagi dahsyat dpd biasa. Yes I know I was away from home for 2 years or so but this time it's different. Beza sangat. Wuuuuu. Rindu Auckland!! Wargh whatever, bah-bye.

So.... Finished reading The Hunger Games yesterday, and it was indeed a good and enjoyable read. Now who has the movie, please, please, please, I need to watch it :( I wanna watch Peeta falling for Katniss, Katniss trying hard to survive in the game, Gale bidding goodbye to Katniss before she went to the Capitol, Prim bailing her eyes out when Katniss volunteered herself for the game, and most importantly how adorable Peeta is mwehehe #teampeeta :3 So please? Anyone? Ngaaa kinda regret not watching it when it came out in the cinemas pffft

Anyways, just got my first pay (in my bank account, not cash), o em gee what is air. :'D

Feel like scribbling smthng here abt my job(s?), so here we go! Beware, post ni panjang gila.

Yesterday was my first time working with a really nice and friendly employer. Not that my previous employers weren't nice, but umm, Marie (yesterday's one) was .... the nicest one, so far. She texted me a day before I came to her house, saying that it'd be perfect if I could come before 12pm, so I could join her and her little Jodi for lunch. Was like okayy.. That's not really necessary but mmm well... Whatever. She also said that she'll pick me up at the bus station. Nawww that's really kind of her. Tak pernah plak employer aku sebelum ni jemput aku. Ada tu rumah jauh sebatu kot but she cared less about me. Ok stop syue.

So I rushed from Remuera Road to Symonds Street then took a bus to Torbay (supposedly an hour journey) just to make sure that I'll be there on time. Turned out that I was the only passenger, and I arrived there in about 30 minutes je! Then I texted Marie saying I've arrived blablabla...

Then there she was. She's.... typical local people at first, you know, friendly, chatty etc. Oh this is the highlight of this story (well one of the many)! She asked 'So you're gonna be an English teacher, right?' 'Yeahh, but not here, in my hometown.' 'Oh, and where is that?' 'Malaysia' 'Oh so you're not from here?! Your English is really good!' 'Errr really but mm thank you <- typical awkward syue dh start buat perangai 'Yeahh. You speak like a native speaker!' Aku malas nk percaya sbb aku rasa dia perli aku je haha tak guna punya Marie but then.. Ini explanation aku for my 'very good' English.

I have actually prepared for whatever topic that my employer's gonna ask, since I was alone and bored in the bus. That explains why I speak like a native speaker (kononnya), because I'm prepared for that. Because I've practiced it in my head (lol). Cuba kalau dalam kelas. The lecturer (especially Sheryll and Christine) asked us random questions to random people. Memang aku tak jawab la wakaka. But then again pernah je aku jawab, tu pun aku dah duk fikir ayat tu lamaaaa, tunggu dia repeat the question again ke apa, baru jawab. Tu pun tak pernah memenuhi citarasa lecturer. Down kot. Malas nk jawab dah. <- Alasan. So umm yeah, anyways, that explains why my English was sooooooooo good yesterday. Not that good but at least better than before, kot. So gv me a chance to perasan jap.

Oh ye, back to Marie. After showing me around her house (which was biiiiig and spacious btw), she invited me to have lunch together! Yay! But wait. What if she serves pork or any kind of meat? She explained that the whole family is vegan, so yeay! We had something that has corn, cheese and green peas in it for lunch. Aku makan la 1 ketul, appreciate kan org dh jemput.

Then she showed me what needed to be done- scrubbing and mopping the floor. Ok don't get me wrong. The floor...... bersih gila babs. Not that it's shiny, but mmm not filthy AT ALL. Biasa je. Padahal in the job description she stated that one has to be fit, has to use some elbow grease la apa jadah to apply for that job. And I thought it's gonna be muddy ke apa. Sekali... Not that bad, really. Not bad at all tbh.

Anyway, then, when I was about to start working, she asked 'Do you need anything more? Like music? I can put on some music while you're working.' Clearly I wasn't prepared at all for that to happen lol so my response was... 'Umm no I'm good, got my earphones. Can I listen to my earphones while I work?' Listen TO EARPHONES? LISTEN TO EARPHONES!!?? Looooooser. So mm she said yeah sure blablabla. Told you, Marie ni nice gila sampai aku rasa bersalah sbb asyik tolak je benda dia offer. 

Pastu after about an hour or two, those two had a tea break and asked me if I wanna join but of course, aku tgh khusyuk buat kerja kan, so I said no thanks. But then she insisted on making a drink for me so I asked for tea. Layan je la. And she offered some kind of home-made muesli which was N I C E :D She later asked nak tambah tak that muesli, and dgn penuh gedik I replied 'Can I?' Padahal dalam hati, apesal tak hidang sepinggan terusss! Bengong Marie.

Oh, around 4 Nana texted me saying that the last bus is at 6.15pm, aku dah gelabah sbb hallway dia x bersihkan lagi. So I told her that, and guess what? She helped me scrubbing and cleaning the floor from the other end of the hallway. Kira she helped me to clean, so that I'll finish the job earlier and I won't miss the bus. Oh baiknya, aku rasa nak nangis time tu (not really) But when we've both finished scrubbing and mopping, tau aku cakap apa? 'Gahh I'm sorry I'm a bit late doing the cleaning.' She stopped doing whatever she's doing kot when she heard me said that. Aku macam the heck? What did I say? Then she replied 'Oh no you did great! I had no problem with that! Blablablabalba' Lepas tu baru aku perasan it should be 'I'm a bit SLOW not LATE .................................. T_____T

And yeah. I was planning to say 'Feel free to call me if you need any help' with an extra smiley face, but heyyy, she beat me to it and said that she'll contact me if she has anymore project after this, if that's okay with me. Oh thank you Marie, I'd be thrilled to work with you again :) 

Fuuu, that was long. I rarely write a post that long, so embrace it okay. Lol~

Funny how one moment you're laughing your heart out and the next moment you found yourself crying for no apparent reason. No, scratch that. You know exactly why you cried - you're a helpless coward and you just let the sadness bottle up inside you and suffocate yourself.  

What I'm trying to say is, it's not always sunny and warm in one's soul. Sometimes the wind's so strong the soul can't bear. That, is what we call life. Ain't no sunshine without rain, kannn ~

#37 All is well

So, firstly, thank you Allah! You're the best! 

Err why the enthusiasm? Well. At last, I managed to have a gooooooooood and loooooooooooong sleep last night. After not sleeping at all for two nights, and and not getting enough sleep for almost a week. There's a tinge of guilt though, since my cousins stopped by at my house last night. They arrived at 10 pm, I think, and as far as I could tell, I was half awake at that time, but still, I forced myself to help my mom prepare the food and whatnots. Then, soon as I'm done with everything, bam! So, if, if, any of you guys (my cuz) reads this, I'm truly sorry. Okay? Thanks.
